Campus Development and Maintenance Office
The Campus Development and Maintenance Office (CDMO) is responsible for developing plans and strategies, as well as managing and supporting the basic functioning services of UPOU. It is also in charge of enforcing the policies, regulations, and guidelines for the proper care maintenance, and use of university facilities. This office promotes infrastructural development within the university in order to better serve the constituency and the community.
The Infrastructure Group collates and generates all the information relevant to crafting a short, medium and long-term campus development plan; develops and manages the University’s capital construction program and implementation plan; tracks all campus plan development targets until these are in to the University’s capital construction program; and monitors and evaluates all major construction projects until these are completed and turned over to the University.
The Maintenance and Security Services Group is responsible for the maintenance/repair, janitorial as well as security services. The group is divided in to three subgroups namely:
Building Maintenance subgroup – Responsible for the general maintenance of building facilities. They provide electrical, mechanical, and plumbing corrective and preventive maintenance services.
Housekeeping and Grounds Maintenance subgroup – The housekeeping group is responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic upkeep of rooms and public areas in the campus. The Grounds and Landscape group is responsible for the exterior maintenance and repairs of all the landscape and hardscape areas throughout the university surroundings.
Security Services subgroup – Responsible for promoting a safe and secure workplace while protecting the university surrounding including UPOU gate management.
The Business Concessions Group is responsible for the rental and leasing services, proposes and implements policies, guidelines and regulations on rentals and leasing, and ensures and maintains the quality of UPOU facilities.
